About
Weekend House Kids
Weekend House Kids. Concept. "Our pets running around, an after-lunch chat al fresco, the sound of the fire crackling. We are the natural world around us: our children, dogs, gardens, yards, and kitchens. The beauty found in spontaneous moments with family and friends, in everyday life, on weekends, and on vacations. The search for the essential, folk wisdom, and intuition. The imaginary that gives meaning to reality and inspires us." Weekend House Kids was born in 2018 in Mataro, a small seaside town north of Barcelona, from the desire of two sisters to create a sustainable children's brand with a Mediterranean accent. Today, the brand continues with the same enthusiasm and commitment, telling beautiful stories and collaborating with expert local crafters located just 3 km from headquarters. This close approach, rooted in the knowledge of past generations, ensures excellent quality, good working conditions, and care for the planet. All garments are designed and drawn manually by the creative director and co-founder, then made consciously using natural materials, time, and love. Sustainability. Since 2018, Weekend House Kids has worked with the same textile experts in Mataro, Catalonia. Proximity enables transparency, traceability, and flexibility throughout production. Garments are crafted with appropriate technology using 100% organic cotton certified by GOTS. Dyes are non-toxic and certified by STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX. The brand also uses Bluesign-certified low-water dyeing processes and textile effluent treatments, while packaging relies on recyclable and biodegradable materials. Production follows REACH regulation standards and is grounded in generational craftsmanship. The brand only produces what it sells.
